It has a free hot breakfast. A wonderful indoor pool and hot tub. They have a couple of ping pong tables and a quarter indoor basketball court. Great swing set for the little kids. The interior is updated and there are fireplaces throughout, although it's not the time of year for a fireplace, they are very cozy in the wintertime. They have games you can borrow at the front desk. Tables and chairs set up to play them, near the fireplace. We were on the 3rd floor in the original part of the hotel. It's the first time we had a room up there. The ac wasn't working. We checked in at 3pm on Saturday. Complained about no ac in the hallways, (we enjoy sitting outside the room near the fireplaces to read), so we had to move to another floor to be comfortable. FINALLY, on Monday, the day we checked out, the ac was working in the hallways. Our room had it's own heating and cooling system, so our room was fine.

We stayed at the Farmstead as it was cheaper than another hotel for the night. We enjoy coming to Shipshewana for concerts, pretzels, shopping and the atmosphere.
