I needed a place to stay at Gatwick airport and the Bloc is located right inside Terminal South. I had a Vista room, with views over the airport so I could see planes and countryside. The rooms was well designed, quiet and cozy. There was a coffee room on my floor with free hot drinks. The WhatsApp chat bot texts you and actually does a very good job at answering questions! The room controls and digital key from your phone work really well, but I asked for a regular key card just in case. Negatives: The wet-room style shower is the main let down. There must be a better space saving solution than flooding the floor. I had not packed flip flops with me so after my shower I had to put towels down to dry the floor. Only 1 toilet roll was provided. I’m sure you can ask for more at reception but not ideal. It’s very stingy. No decaf options from the coffee machine. Still, I slept really well, it was quiet, the AC was good and the location is unbeatable. I will stay again but I will remember to bring flip-flops next time.

Bloc is a good choice for a late arrival or early departure at Gatwick. Rooms are small, clean and comfortable and meet needs. Whilst I realize customers are paying for the convenience of being in the airport, I do feel the rooms are heavily overpriced.

Very small room but comfortable

Great location. Very modern. Some app features were not working so the high tech is ok until it doesn’t work. Using my phone only made operating the lift complicated. Wet room for shower and toilet was too small for this design to work. Everything gets wet when showering and no way to dry without using towel for floor. Otherwise you would walk water into the bedroom area. Not good. Great shower though.
