Great airport hotel

Hilton Gatwick Airport is a great option if you have an early flight. It’s a 5 minute walk to the train station and airport, large rooms, and very modern. It also has a pub, bar and restaurant which is more than most airport hotels offer.

This hotel was so much better than airport hotel needs to be: lovely room, great facilities, nice bar area and a great restaurant on site. Really great way to spend the night before an early flight.

Booked an executive room with lounge access. The room left a lot to be desired. The shower door was broken therefore when used, water flooded straight into the actual bathroom. Reception did not tell us about the lounge access until we queried it, by which stage we had 10 minutes to get access as it closes at 8pm

A brief stop over for an early flight to avoid driving 4 hours in the early hours. With the hope to be refreshed and ready first thing. Hotel was booked many months ahead with a request for a close to reception room due to the wife’s mobility issues. When we arrived we got told we have a free room upgrade! Great we thought got given room 7220. Literally couldn’t have been any further away, it was the last room on an upper floor in the next county!! Carrying 4 suitcases with mobility issues was not easy. But after the long drive we decided not to use the facilities for dinner as the wife couldn’t make it there and back. So we just didn’t eat that night. Top that off with no sleep due to the bed having built in ejector seats. Honestly the minute either of us moved or turned over the other was ejected out the opposite side! Zero comfort, I ended up trying to sleep on the chair and foot stool, for which I possible managed an hour at best. I was completely exhausted for my early morning flight. Not worth the £177 I paid, think we would have slept better in my car in the long stay car park.

Great and comfortable overnight stay.

Very good service with helpful and friendly staff. Lovely full buffet breakfast, and good choice of restaurant's for dinner, very good food. Good facilities in the room, large and efficient shower, good hairdryer, tea/coffee tray, nice fridge, complimentary bottled water. Iron/ironing board, comfy bed. Easy access to hotel from airport or rail, signposted and walking distance (5 minutes) even with heavy cases. I had 2nd floor room with carpark view, but it was very quiet, with little aircraft noise! Perfectly satisfied with my overnight stay the day before flight. I would use this hotel again!

If you are able to and/or happy to walk for what feels like a mile to a room i.e. a room in the extension then great. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The people working at the garden restaurant were friendly, accommodating and great at their job. I have to also say how delicious the butter chicken curry is, it’s really good but sadly I couldn’t finish it because the portion size was huge and could easily have fed at least 2 if not 3 adults. Amazing value for money for sure. I personally would prefer to pay for a smaller portion so that less food is wasted (that said if my teenage son had been with me there would have been zero waste). Google maps and its associated directions were misleading on the day. as was the information given to me from Trainline. The hotel is literally a 3 minute walk to/from the south departure terminal which is located in the same vicinity as the Gatwick Airport train staton

Perfect location and conveniently located for both the train station and both terminals. We had a room with 3, yes three, double beds and 2 showers in the en-suite!
