It looks better online than in person. It is under renos right now - which are needed seriously. Parking was good, but signage was confusing. Restaurant was the highlight, but you only get housekeeping if you stay at least four days. Good location and lots of potential, but not there in many ways.

Great affordable hotel. Could hear the elevator making noise 24/7. Area surrounding had homeless people fighting. Dirty area with scrap metal and wheelbarrows outside the pool window Bed sheets are scratchy and pillows are like cottage cheese, very lumpy and hard to get comfortable Fine accommodation for around 100$

Overall it is a standard hotel. I was disappointed to book online and find out at check in that the whole building is under construction as well as several areas around the building. No discount was offered. Noise went from 730 (when the construction crew arrived to 6 when they left). I was provide with earplugs on arrival.

Here's the revised review with the added details: Roombooked - King-sized Bed Premium with Harbour View The hotel itself has decent infrastructure and a fantastic location in the heart of downtown, which is a definite plus. However, my stay was somewhat marred by a few minor disappointments. Firstly, the parking charges were a bit of a letdown, even though I was aware of them beforehand. When staying at a hotel, I expect some level of convenience, and having to pay for parking feels counterintuitive. While this seems to be a common practice across Canada, it still detracts from the overall experience. Secondly, the lack of complimentary breakfast was surprising, especially considering the price I paid. In my travels to other countries, breakfast is often included, and I was disappointed by its absence here. Additionally, daily housekeeping and room service, including bed-making and room cleaning, were not provided, which I found inconvenient. Minor issues like the lack of disposable slippers and the need to request both toilet paper and drinking water further impacted my stay. While these may seem like small things, they contribute to the overall guest experience. Furthermore, the room itself felt somewhat dated and average. The table lamp also malfunctioned, which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, my stay at Halifax was average.
