We stayed 3 nights in a bleak February. The weather was bad, but the room was warm and cosy. The dining hall was shut, but a continental breakfast was laid out on the landing and a small table and chairs provided in the room. Cooked breakfast was available for a small extra fee, but we didn't feel we needed one. We were in the Cream Room and we were pleased that the "private bathroom" was en suite.which we weren't sure of from the description. This is a working farm. The field opposite during our stay was home to a flock of sheep. We also heard owls during the night, which we haven't heard for some time. All in all, a good value and pleasant stay.

This farm was one of the loveliest properties we have stayed at on our trip around England. A gorgeous property with healthy, happy, animals all around you. The linens smell heavenly and fresh and you can hear the spund of cows mooing. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of fresh options. The host is so friendly and considerate.
