Major bummer was the strict 4pm checkin, we didn't have a car and came in at 230 after a flight and the desk told us we had to wait. OK fine - that's the rules - but we were hungry after a flight, so we asked to check our bags before check-in, and the front desk said NO! Really? I've stayed at hundreds of hotels and have been rejected from early check-in, but never a bag check. They said they had "no room" but there was obviously room. After we got our room we had no problems, but still very salty from having to carry our luggage to a bar while we wait for checkin. At the bar we made sure to say "oh, the Clarion wouldn't check our bags" will do one of the others near baycare next time

This is an older property, which has be kept pretty clean. Convenient location, close to food, shopping and highway. Friendly staff. For the current trip, it met my needs.

Decent stay- close to BayCare Park

Our stay was good. We weren’t really in the hotel other than to shower and sleep for the most part. The biggest issue was the family who stayed next to us who were screaming and fighting all night- slamming doors but that’s not something the hotel could help

My guess is this is a property from the 1960's, maybe the 1970's, and it's in need of update. Everything was fine for my one-night stay except that: one of the blackout drapes was missing, the motor for the fan in the bathroom was very noisy, the door key was finicky, and the clock had not been adjusted to daylight savings time. The room was clean, the location great, and the staff helpful. The place just needs modernization and attention. Despite that - it was sold out the night I was there!

Down-at-the heals, but clean. Apparently, a favorite of smokers. Room, OK. Exterior, shabby. Broken ice machines, etc. Some noise from nearby rooms.
