I visit Springfield at least once a year, this is my second stay at the hartness house, I’ve stayed in the mansion and in the hotel, I have been very happy with both options. No usual & customary check in-Envelope put on front door for check in. Unfortunately, we were in the way back of mansion in a double bed room no microwave or refrigerator. However, Tyler the inn keeper was fabulous. Took my daughter on an under ground tour of the museum, laboratory & telescope. Interesting history on the Hartness House. We would stay again, picking a room in the main mansion.

The mansion is stunning, the connected hotel is very average. The pillows might be the least comfortable I have ever slept on!! If they got better pillows, the whole experience would be much better!
