The hotel in general was great - the room was extremely spacious, clean, and well maintained. Check in was really easy and quick, with the receptionist being polite, friendly, and informative. It was noted when we got into the room, that there was no safe facility available. Luckily we weren't travelling with any large amount of cash or valuables, but it would have been nice to know that our car keys could have been locked away while we were in the city and not using the car. What we didn't like, though, was that our room had an adjoining room, which we would prefer not to have had. I don't know if all rooms were like this - we certainly weren't asked if it was ok. Breakfast was excellent - even to the point where staff asked if we would like more coffee serving, which was really appreciated as it meant we didn't have to join the queue at the machine, and could just carry on enjoying our food. On the second night of our stay, when going back to our room, it was obvious that somebody had been smoking weed in the corridor on the floor where our room was. Smoke detectors obviously hadn't picked this up, which leads you to wonder what might have happened if it had been a fire? It's a pity that there is no lower rate at the NCP car park opposite the entrance for guests - instead, the Highcross car park is a few minutes walk away...not enjoyable when either dragging luggage or walking in the pouring rain!

Very good location! Walking distance from the Clock Tower and the surrounding shopping area and restaurants. The hotel itself looks good, clean - what you would expect from a good hotel. The members of staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good! All in all a good experience! We visit Leicester regularly to see friends and we will definitely check into this Holiday Inn again!

We had a good stay. Unfortunately there was a problem with the aircon in the two rooms we tried. The reception staff was very good in trying to sort out the problem which ended up with us getting two fans for the room. Breakfast was good with a friendly Christina looking after us. Location to visit the old part of town and the King Richard III museum and grave is perfect.

Was delighted with my stay at the Holiday Inn. Everything I needed was within walking distance. The reason for my trip Was to visit the final resting place of Richard III. I was minutes from both the visitors centre and the Cathedral. The hotel immaculate throughout the staff were always incredibly helpful. Bar prices were reasonable too.

Was pretty early but we were allowed to check in Granddaughter loved the fact that she had a full size proper bed rather than the usual put me up Breakfast was top notch Subsidised parking was a bonus

Some staff were excellent like Sean on arrival at 11pm at night but the staff at checkout were rude. I asked for help with my son who is in a wheelchair just for some luggage and the reception person said not sure if we can as it’s only me here. Was very funny about helping in the first instance! Rowdy Teenagers Next Door

The stay on this evening was absolutely dreadful. We booked our room at the Holiday Inn in order to wake at 4 am to get the coach from across the road. we were put in a room opposite the two lifts, and next to a bunch of rowdy teenagers. The hotel receptionist inferred that we should’ve paid more, although I’d paid around £80 for the room for limited hours. The receptionist who assigned my room was fully aware that I had to be up early and that I was travelling with a child. I also note that other hotels at roughly the same price, offer, hot chocolate, biscuits, and more often than not have a fridge in the room with bottledwater. The rooms are particularly basic, although the beds comfortable.

Leicester Short Break

Really enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn. Staff on the reception desk, very friendly and professional. They really made me and my family feel welcome. The hotel was clean and orderly, and breakfast was lovley, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were okay and happy. Would definitely come back here.

Leicester stay for my boys birthday

Lovely stay, staff were amazing. Beds were not the most comfortable for us and there was a bit of a dirty patch on the wall in the bathroom,which we notified staff of when we were checking out, and they were very apologetic.
