This is a beautiful hotel. The area it’s in is so nice. I wish we would’ve had a better experience however. We arrived to our hotel room to the window curtain being broken so we were unable to look out or let the morning sunlight in. Also our lock on our door had a dead battery. So we were locked out of our room till the ONE staff member could help us get in. I think for a booked hotel there should be a maintenance person there at all times. The front desk guy was not even certain he could get our door open ( that all our clothes, cell phones and car keys were in.) Thank God he was able to get us in. He told us that they would typically move us for safety reasons but we’re booked completely and couldn’t move us. That’s reassuring. We would’ve loved to utilize the breakfast in the morning but for fear of not getting back into the room we skipped and checked out as soon as we woke up. Great job to the front desk guy for doing what he could in a packed hotel. Do better to help your staff members. We would love to give this place another try one day on better circumstances. This just wasn’t very pleasant for this one.

One of the best handicapped accesible rooms we have found! No platform bed!!!!!! As a Hoyer lift user, finding hotels without underbed platforms is challenging. We reserved a room with a sofa bed anticipating the regular bed having a platform as we know a a lift should work with a sofa bed. We were very happy to find the actual bed accessible! My only complaint would be we got "upgraded" and charged for this unrequested upgrade. At check it we were told it was just an incidental hold on our card, but at check out we were told it was an actual charge for the upgrade. It was a nearly $50 upgrade and more than we had planned to spend for this trip for medical appointments. We in no way requested this upgrade and had we been told at check in we would have declined the upgrade and the extra costs.
