Poorly managed and big staffing issues
Stayed here for a celebration weekend, stated it on booking however not even a congratulations on arrival. We've stayed in other hotels for special occasions and always at the least got some response from staff. Check in was a bit of a mare. The lady next to me also had the same problem. At no point of booking I was told they would take a holding fee. Put my foot down and they agreed they didn't need it however this should have been stated on booking. The receptionist really was in his own bubble. Had to ask several times to get an answer about dinner reservations and then later on had an incident with other guests damaging fire exits and emergency signs, he was cheerful and happy about hearing they were damaging hotel property.
Cleaning and waiting staff were impeccable and lovely.
Hotel itself was alright, nice room but I'd expect that paying over 100 a night.
There was an event on and for some reason we were not told on booking, probably would have considered a different hotel due to us actually needing sleep. Our room allocation was incredibly poorly done. We were on the same corridor as a lot of event people and also very close to reception/bar area. I had stated we had a child in our booking so it's very strange that we were placed there, unless they randomly allocate. we were kept awake until 2am with people running and shouting continuously. The staff dont care about controlling customers behaviour at all.
pool staff weren't interested in health and safety at all.
