Hotels in Shiraoka itself are a little limited. Fortunately, Wotif features some options within the wider region. There are at least 27 choices within 30 kilometres of the city's heart.
Some of Wotif's suggested options include the Route-Inn Grantia Hanyu Spa Resort and the Tokorozawa Park Hotel. Check them out if you're okay with staying on the outskirts. It's smart to also think about the Kawagoe Prince Hotel and the Hotel Route-Inn Ageo.
For more options, try out the Hotel Route-Inn Kitamatsudo Ekimae and the Hotel Route-Inn Koga Ekimae. They are 35 kilometres and 20 kilometres respectively from the main center. Some more alternatives are the Kawaguchi Center Hotel, 25 kilometres away, and the Ayase Kokusai Hotel, 30 kilometres.
Yuki is 30 kilometres to the northeast of Shiraoka and is where you'll find the Suga Shrine and Tsumugi no Yakata. Yuki accommodation options are the Hotel Route-Inn Oyama and Hotel Route-Inn Yuuki. 40 kilometres to the east of Shiraoka is Tsukuba, which is home to the Daiwa Roynet Hotel Tsukuba and Tsukuba Daily-Inn. Regardless of whether you're passing through or spending a few nights in Tsukuba, you might like to visit Hojo Oike Pond and Hirasawa Kanga Site.
80 kilometres to the northeast of Shiraoka is Mito, a regional centre with a population of 250000, where you will find great attractions like the Natto Pavilion, Mito Castle Ruins and Mito Komon Shrine. You can also check out the Kodokan Park and Mito City Water Supply Tower. If you'd like to stay in Mito, check out the rates and amenities at the Daiwa Roynet Hotel MITO and Mito Keisei Hotel.
