The night staff short man with the beard and glasses was hostile and disrespectful to me when I asked him to extend my reservation. He couldn’t understand that I wanted a new reservation even though we agreed on it and the price. Instead of booking it, he stood there and argued with me. Then he was being sassy and rude after I asked to speak to a different person when he refused to understand and book it instead of standing there arguing with me. He can’t understand simple instructions and English, and he likes to argue instead of do his job. he is short tempered, hostile, angry, proud, sassy, combative, argumentative and has a nasty attitude. He talked badly about me and said he doesn’t care about his confusing, unnecessarily difficult service to me, and my long commute as I walked away, and when I went back to confront him he told me to get out. I told him he needed to refund me my money first and he threatened to not give it to me when his friend asked me questions and I answered it, he didn’t like that. He seemed to dislike everything. He is unprofessional and said he didn’t care about a customer. I’m a black woman as well. I suggest you stay away from this hostile, miserable man and hotel. His manager is probably his family and so of course he’s going to be on his side as he ignored my complaint after I emailed him. I’m working with Choice Hotels to report the short angry man’s unprofessional behavior towards me. Do not come to this hostile, unprofessional hotel.

It was ok. The hotel is old and it showed! The staff was unprofessional (but not rude or unfriendly) and could have perhaps been a family from India running the show. I think they lived there. No professional uniforms, smelled a little like marajuana and home cooking through the hallways near guest rooms. Most alarming was that the side door was not locked, so anyone could have walked in near guest rooms. You did not have to go through the front entrance. No key card needed from outdoor access!! We also had to request our room to be cleaned and refreshed because they did not do it the first night. The second night they did, but as we were arriving back from a long day, so we had to wait (this was after we told them when we’d be back). The positive was that they allowed us to stay an hour after check out which helped us tremendously before our flight home. Also, the area was great with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Also close to the freeway and 20min in traffic to Brown University and the airport.

Very easy access to second floor rooms without having to walk far. Room and bathroom were clean and nicely appointed and included microwave and refrigerator. The staff were very accommodating.
