Top knotch hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was a premier double with one king bed. It was large and very comfortable room. Great layout with a lot of space for luggage. Had a view of the city and Sapporo Station. Connecting walkway at basement level to Sapporo Station and subway lines. Shops and food along the corridor. Breakfast buffet was worth it. Lots of choices, both Japanese and American style. Freshly prepared omelets as well. Concierge recommended a great place to have dinner with a view just outside JR Station that was great without breaking the bank. Had a problem turning on our air purifier (language issue), called the front desk and a person arrived within 5 minutes to get it going.

Sapporo Grand Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city center next to a plethora of shopping and culinary choices all within walking distances. It also has a direct access to the underground walkways which joins directly to the JR station as well as the subway network.

We (2 adults, 1 child) had a lovely, quiet, large 3 twin-bed room on an upper floor corner for our three night stay in Sapporo. Easy access to the underground walkway, both to get to/from the train station and to/from subways, tourist spots, etc, which came in handy when the temperature dropped and not having to pull suitcases over slushy sidewalks. Very happy with our stay!

The Bed is not comfortable. Our bed was pushed to the wall. The other person had hard time getting out of the bed, especially for seniors like us. The staff was really nice and polite. Nice hotel very close to the restaurant and transportation.

Strict policy!
We arrived at 11am. Hotel doesn’t let us check in until 3pm. I understand room is not ready but why can they not let us register and give us room key when we return later. Then their gym is closed, so I decided to take long walk outside and hoping to shower before check out. We had two rooms. I requested one room to extend check out for 1/2 hour they refused. Seems like hotel is run very old style, no flexibility. Room is a bit old but location is excellent for snow festival.
