Four Seasons - accommodation in Santa Elena

Overall the stay was okay. The hotel has nice views and was very relaxing. Not much for activites or nightlife. They overcharge on the excursions and the souvenirs and the a la carte was always fully booked so I didn't get a chance to eat there, only at the buffet but the buffet food was good. The check in process was slow and people will cut in front of you even though you were there first waiting. You definitely have to lock up your stuff in the safe because I had a coach purse that was stolen from my suitcase and I had a chocolate bar that someone took a bite from. That was a little upsetting.

We loved our experience at Planet Hollywood.The welcome and staff were unvelievable. We felt like we were special at all times. Through reading reviews, we decided to upgrade to STAR level and it was a fantastic decision. The butler and honestly everyone else were there for anything we could want. The resort is not that spread out and walking was easy - at least from our builing. There are shuttles that run constantly and will pick you up within minutes. The resort is hilly so riding makes sense depending upon where your building is. The Eco tour was great and we learned so much, but even more than that it was entertaining. The full day excursion to the rainforest waterfall and hot springs was great. It was a long day due to the distance, but it didn't feel bad because we drove a bit, had an excursion and then repeated the process. It was not rushed at all. I do recommend bringing a credit card and some cash for tips, drinks, and souveniers. Also, you are given a towel at the hot springs but not at the waterfall so if you desire to swim, bring a towel. I will certainly go back.
