King Frederick Inn was right in the heart of Solvang making it the perfect location. The theme of the inn was nice. The amenities were good as well. They provided a small breakfast with delicious danishes from a local bakery.

I asked in my initial booking for a first floor room because my son is disabled. When they responded back about his service dog they completely ignored the request for a first floor room. I assumed that I was getting the first floor room because my son has trouble with stairs. When I got there the guy knew nothing about it. There needs to be better communication when people make requests months before the reservation.

Very disappointing. Possibly because I booked with Expedia we were given a terrible room with a view of some utility door. We were woken at 7:00 in the morning with gardening tools being used- loud blowers, etc. construction was also going on outside our bathroom window. The front desk told us to use the phone in the room and call down if we needed anything. The phone in our room was completely dead. The stay was very disappointing and it’s too bad. Based on reviews, I actually chose the hotel and truly our experience was not good.

The room was nice and clean and we loved the coffee that was available at all times. Staff was very friendly . We will choose this hotel again for our next visit.

Pretty tired room but clean and good service

The good: Clean and well equipped. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The not so good : Pretty tired and dated room. Tiny bathroom. It was hard to avoid touching the toilet when showering.
