The room was spotless and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and featured modern amenities including heated floor (amazing, if you are visiting in the winter!). The room had its own air conditioning, which I didn’t use. The owners and their small staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, and they offer a very good vegetarian breakfast. This boutique hotel is approx. 15 min walk to the old town and well worth a visit even if it’s located in a more residential area, I highly recommend it

The room was very nice and spacious. It is in a very quiet part of town, and there is not much around if wanting a lively stay. However, everything is walkable and there is plenty to get to. The restaurant, Die Weisse, is about a block away and very convenient. The man at check-in seemed a little put off by us at the beginning of the interaction, but ended up warming up and was extremely friendly and welcoming! Note: do watch for a step in your bathroom--it is easy to forget if using in the middle of the night!

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet hotel away from all the crowds. Our room was very clean. The old town is about 15 min walk or 10 min by trolley. Trolleys were free and run every 10 min. We would stay here again.

We were concerned about the size of the hotel but we were greeted by a friendly face & lots of information about transportation, breakfast options and restaurants close by. Our room was charming and pristine. We loved the painted wooden furniture and comfortable bed. We would have loved the option of a bathtub. The shops and Old Town…just a short walk from the hotel!

Lovely big room with comfortable bed and sofa, and very clean. Lovely bathroom - only negative was tap design / hand basin design meant water splashed everywhere even on very low pressure. The owners were delightful and extremely helpful. Would recommend.

Fantastic, highly recommend. Lovely boutique hotel, family owned and operated. Quiet area but only 10 minute walk to tourist spots. Supermarket just a couple minute walk, so can get essentials and put in room fridge. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Good size shower and bathroom. Nice comfortable bed. No kids, so very quiet. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful. Even noticed that we were struggling with the pillows and had been using chair cushions so gave us additional pillows which was appreciated. Great choice for adults who like a quiet and comfortable stay.

We booked two rooms for our family and they were both large, comfortable and modern. AC in each room and an elevator was nice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Inge helped me immediately with notifying the correct parties pertaining to my lost passport. She went above and beyond in providing excellent customer service. We will stay at Bergland Hotel again in a heartbeat next time we’re in Salzburg.

We enjoyed our stay finding the hotel very clean and in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The walk to town was a little long, about 20 minutes, in hindsight I would have preferred something closer. The hotel itself was a little dated, could use better lighting in the bathroom and some upgrades to the shower. The breakfast was very basic and vegan, fyi.

Nice sized room for two guests, everything was spotless, and there was even turndown service after one night. Lovely staff. Location is great if you don’t want to be in high traffic tourist areas, but Less than 15 mins walk to the beginning of the pedestrian zone. Highly recommend!
