The family stayed here, in 2 rooms, while visiting Frankenmuth. As other reviewers have mentioned, the property is being renovated; boxes are piled not so neatly in a number of locations inside the hotel. The rooms are spacious and relatively clean. Unfortunately, the quality of the renovations being performed is poor. Doors aren't properly fitted in the jams so some stick when opening/closing while others swing open unless securely closed. The new paint is poorly applied; paint is slopped over the vanity top, on door handles, and even on the track for the closet door/curtain (which was missing in both rooms). The top of the closet shelf in both rooms was coated with paint/drywall dust which came off on anything you placed on the shelf. The mattresses were uncomfortable; some sagged in the middle and a spring could be felt in another. The refrigerator varied from room to room; one was like a wine cooler (with bottle rods but no shelves) while the other was a small fridge. Housekeeping was virtually nonexistent. Breakfast rotated between scrambled eggs and sausage links to omelets and sausage patties; there were limited pastries and breads, and the oatmeal was packaged instant. Some of the equipment (toaster and waffle maker) were broken. The saving grace was that the woman working the breakfast area (on the weekdays) was very pleasant and attentive as was the young lady at the front desk in the evenings. In hindsight, I should have spent more and stayed elsewhere.

The motel was in the process of refreshing all of the rooms while we were there. We were fortunate enough to have one of the completed rooms - so all the furniture, etc. was new and nice. Whomever repainted the rooms was sort of sloppy around the edges - but overall good. Had a Suite which was nicely laid out and roomy. Good wi-fi.

The property was still under renovations but almost finished. Everything was fresh and new. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable . The pool area was large and clean. The breakfast was a really nice spread with lots of options hot and cold. The staff were all friendly, kind and helpful. Overall it was a great stay!

The room was a not nice. We were not told it was under construction when we made our reservation. Unfinished and unsafe. Strong smell of paint. The ac unit had no cover on it. They said it was half remodeled but the remodeled part was poorly done. Things didn’t match up and the furniture and lamps were cheap and shoddy. Their contractor sucked. No closet door. The lamp light by the bed couldn’t be adjusted well and shone in our eyes. Not what I expect from Comfort Inn. The bathtub was slippery with no mat. Staff was nice. I would not stay here again. Hilton member. Hard to find any parking.

The place was a mess, we were not informed it was being remodeled. Not enough parking because of the remodeling. Pool area was unsanitary, for the three days we were there, there were floss picks all over the pool area. The electricity was messed up when you turned the hair dryer or the microwave on the lights flickered. There was no security lock on the door and no emergency instructions on the back of the door. The curtains did not fit the windows correctly and the outside lights shined thru. Loud exhaust from cars in the parking lot while people smoked, they sat outside their cars with it running had to have someone ask them to shut the car off. It was unnecessary.
