This is an amazing property which is family owned and operated. We arrived early and the owner led us into the parking area which is so convenient. We were super early so we opted to not take luggage in but instead walk around town. There doesn’t appear to be anything further than a 5 minute walk! This was during Christmas Market time and was so easy to navigate. When we came back to put our luggage in the room we met another family member who was super nice and showed us how to get in late if we were staying past time that the front door was open. We felt safe, the room was super clean. We had some coffee and home baked cake in the afternoon in their little cafe. Breakfast the next morning was really good. The host and family are very welcoming and we share the same humor! Could not rate this more highly!
The hotel let us borrow some wine glasses to celebrate our first day in Rothenburg!

Hotel Zum Breiterle was a beautiful place to spend the night in a beautiful town. I was impressed with everything from the hotel ambience to its location in Rothenburg o.d.Tauber. This was exactly the sort of quaint feeling I was hoping for in a medieval storybook setting. Vielen Dank! Bis später!

The receptionist was very kind and waited for us even though we were a little late due to heavy traffic on the highway. Google maps got us to the hotel without problem. Mike handled our request to stay an extra night and served the breakfast with friendly humour. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Parking right across the street. The hotel is inside the city walls and easily walkable to any of the highlights of this fascinating city. Would definitely recommend.

We only speak english but it didn't matter. Mike the host was wonderful. Very hospitable. The entire town spoke enough english to get by. Honestly, great place to stay. We will be going back.. someday. Its a long way from Canada.

A lovely hotel within reasonable walking distance from the train station, on the Main Street into the old town. Only a short walk to the main square and shops and a great little place to base ourselves for exploring n and around Rothenburg on der Tauber. Breakfast had plenty of options and a lovely bonus was being able to order our eggs freshly cooked. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.

This was an amazing location and property just inside the old town wall. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for our family. Would recommend some anti-slip stickers in the tub/shower, but otherwise everything was exactly what we wanted.
