Pristinely clean and well appointed. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Check in was prompt and the breakfast buffet was excellent - special touches like names on the breakfast tables were a unique personal touch. The rooms were spacious, bedding (especially the pillows ) were extremely comfortable. The hotel is half a block from the markt Platz (where the Christkindlmarkt was) and frankly everything within old Rothenburg is a short walk away. exceptional stay !! This will be our first pick when we return (also a small note - no elevators so pack light or ask for help ahead. Strongly recommend this charming hotel.

Staf was most helpful. They helped woth the bzgs & alwatys responded to requests. Room was clean, comfortable beds & pillows. Breakfast was so good with a variety of foods. Staff wanted to make sure we had a great stay always with a smile. Located very close to the Christmas Market.

What a wonderful experience we had at Hotel Sonne! Although our friends, my husband and I arrived early, the husband and wife proprietors greeted us warmly, and even had a staff member take our bags up the stairs to our rooms when they were ready. Charming decor throughout the hotel. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable and cozy. Spotless bathroom with excellent water pressure in the shower. Lovely amenities were provided in the room and the bath. Outstanding breakfast was offered each morning. Drinks were available in the evening for a small but reasonable fee. We will always stay at Hotel Sonne in future trips to RodT.

Extremely cute hotel almost right inside the main market square. Had a great breakfast to start the day and they even had a great private parking area as well. The husband and wife that ran the place were extremely friendly, very attentive, and beyond helpful. Would without a doubt recommend a stay here if you want to spend the night within Rothenburg. Of course everyone we interacted with in the area was also very pleasant as well.

Hotel Sonne exceeded our expectations! Very friendly and welcoming staff! The buffet breakfast had lots of options including scrambled eggs and bacon. The rolls were so good! The location within the walls of Rothenburg ob der tauber was fantastic!

We stayed here one night on a 7-day trip from Munich to Frankfurt and so wish we would have planned to stay here longer. The hotel was in the perfect location…a 15-minute walk from the train station and a two-minute walk from the town square. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was roomy with terrific lighting. The hotel is owned by a husband and wife, and their daughter works there with them. You can tell how much they value their customers and want you to feel at home. The breakfast selection was incredible, and the service was impeccable! Great coffee! I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again! Can’t think of one negative thing to say about our stay!
