Buffet style breakfast with a great selection. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was had lots of room. The service was exceptional and everyone was very friendly.

Hotel Sonne exceeded our expectations! Very friendly and welcoming staff! The buffet breakfast had lots of options including scrambled eggs and bacon. The rolls were so good! The location within the walls of Rothenburg ob der tauber was fantastic!

We stayed here one night on a 7-day trip from Munich to Frankfurt and so wish we would have planned to stay here longer. The hotel was in the perfect location…a 15-minute walk from the train station and a two-minute walk from the town square. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was roomy with terrific lighting. The hotel is owned by a husband and wife, and their daughter works there with them. You can tell how much they value their customers and want you to feel at home. The breakfast selection was incredible, and the service was impeccable! Great coffee! I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again! Can’t think of one negative thing to say about our stay!

Ideally located in the old town - less than a minute’s walk from the Market Square. Staff friendly and exceptionally helpful. Room clean and well equipped. Very good breakfast. Parking available on request, although the narrow streets are difficult to negotiate.

Great Service!

Smaller hotel in a historic building, parking is a bit of a challenge if you have a large car. Note that the heritage building rules do not allow for an elevator, but the staff is very helpful and will take your luggage to and from your room. Still, if you have severe mobility issues, this place might not be for you. One of the few places in Rothenburg that have air conditioned rooms available.Breakfast was excellent.
