The room was small, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, smelt disgusting, mould on the blind.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Man'O Ross Hotel. It was an overnight stay and staying in the 170 Year (plus) hotel was a step back in time. My room was comfortable. ( I put the electric blanket on and was snug as a bug). A couple of ales in front of the log fire, before dinner conversations with the staff, hearty dinner and cosy time in the accommodation TV room with hot coffee before bed and self organised breakfast from a wide range of choices, made my stay just about perfect. I love Ross and will be ensuring I get back here to stay again next time I'm in Tassie. A simple uncomplicated and welcoming accommodation house. All the trappings of yesteryear. Regards, Eric (May 2019)

Old convict built pub with plenty of character. Bar and meal staff were excellent, as was the meal. Shared bathroom and basic rooms, but had everything you need if you are not a fussy person used to accommodation with many stars. I enjoyed it. Beds were comfortable and had electric blankets as heating in the rooms is only from little heaters. We didn't bother, as the thick walls kept the room temps pleasurable. The shared kitchen/lounge area was great. Breakfast supplies/tea/coffee available from there. We watched tv for a while whilst enjoying a red wine, and snuggled up in blankets from our room.

Thank you for your review. The town is quaint and beautiful, but we do get busy at meal time and it's great to have good staff that can work under pressure. We hope you had a good stay in Ross.

Thank you for your review. The old place was built by the convicts in 1836 and is still going strong.
