Convenient central hotel

Our room was a great size on the 4th floor. Plenty of room, Aor Conditioing was a bit weak but this is the same in many places in Rome. Reception staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was a great touch and good to start the day with.

No hot water and shower did not work. The staff told us that technician would come and fix it right away - but made us wait 1 hour. That was precious time wasted. We were only in Rome for 1 night! In the end they were not able to fix the hot water and told us to go to their other hotel across the street to shower. Just so happens that it was raining heavily. So we walked across soaked. Also charge us additional surcharge when we checked in on top of the taxes. DO NOT COME HERE

The hotel is in a very unsafe location; lots of homelessness around and the area is very dirty. The air conditioner was not working in our for 2 days and we almost passed out. The breakfast buffet was absolutely terrible, had very little options for food and the smells were disgusting. The air conditioner also did not work in the buffet. Out of the 5 night stay, we only ate at the buffet twice.

We booked 2 different hotels in Rome both near the Termini before and after a cruise and while the other hotel had much better reviews on Expedia - we thought Gioberti was the BETTER hotel. It was EXCELLENT can’t beat the location to Termini - literally across the street. And yes the are has grafiti but was completely safe. The rooms at Gioberti were HUGE with excellent AC in the room which was ready at 1pm and we took an hour Power Nap on first jet lag day and the room was soooo comfortable. Breakfast was good and the elevator was larger than the other hotel we booked. This is a solid hotel.

The shower water ran out from the bathroom wetting the carpet resulting in a mouldy smell in the room. The air conditioning was inadequate for the Roman summer. The hot water in the shower ran out twice in a six night stay. The best thing about the property was the location, being close to the train station.

Our stay here was great. We were looking for a hotel that is near the Roma Termini since we know that we will be getting to and from the Roma Termini station and this delivered. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable to stay in. There were also restaurants nearby to choose from so that is an added bonus.

Terrific location, right across from the main train station. Lots of places to eat nearby. Room was great and breakfast was terrific. Only problem was the city tax as we left. We stayed four nights and charge was 60 euros (15 euros/night). I’ll reread the contract but don’t remember it mentioned - certainly not the price. But the staff was excellent.

Extremely well located for transportation. A block from Termini Station. Access to shops and food options inside the station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Three blocks from the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. Easy access to train to FCO and to hop on hop off buses, and Metro and bus lines.
