El personal del Hotel Al Manthia fue muy amable y servicial. La localización es excelente si deseas descubrir por tu cuenta Roma a pie. La habitación cómoda y remodelada, con amplio baño. Nuestra habitación tenía balcón con vista a la calle principal. Hay que tener en cuenta que es un edificio antiguo cuyo ascensor es pequeño, sin embargo, no tuvimos ninguna dificultad. Importante mencionar que el hotel tiene múltiples niveles con escalones. El desayuno es variado estilo bufet. De regresar a Roma, seguro nos hospedaremos en este hotel.

BED BUGS

My stay at this hotel was an absolute nightmare due to a severe BED BUG infestation. We were covered in painful bed bug bites throughout our stay. Despite multiple complaints, the hotel staff was unresponsive and did nothing to address the issue. The consequences were devastating—we had to discard our belongings to prevent bringing these pests home, incurring significant expenses. The hotel showed no concern for the distress caused. Furthermore, the bathroom emitted a putrid odor throughout our stay, and the air conditioning did not work. This establishment lacks basic hygiene and upkeep. Avoid this hotel at all costs unless you want to risk a ruined vacation and the costly aftermath of dealing with a bed bug infestation.

First all staff were pleasant and helpful to deal with. The room itself was clean and adequate enough for our use. The location was extremely convenient as it was in walking distance of many historic sites and restaurants. The only few things that I would nitpick would be either the ac was weak or didn't work, but cooled down during the night compared to late afternoon. The labelling of the doors was a bit confusing at first as the key code is not on the door itself, but the adjacent hallway. Sometimes you will get guests trying your door figuring out the room. Again since we were mostly out, it didn't affect us as much. Overall for the located and the friendly staff I recommend !

not for people with mobility issues. bed in stairs loft and bathroom on first floor. joseph wasnt overly friendly or helpful. other staff members went above. nice private bath and conveniently located. do not have shuttle service but can call you a taxi.if booking in advance add an additional charge. airport taxi twenty more than stated on website, coffee and tea not restocked and unwilling to replinish

We will need to look for a place that can accommodate a person who can’t do stairs next time. There was no way tp access the hotel without at least 10 stair steps. My husband ended up in emergency the first night from missing a stair step. The brunch was EXCELLENT. Best I have ever been to. The elevator was out of service on check out day. Luckily the staff came to help us take luggage down four flights of stairs.

Don't stay here

Please don't waste your money here! The accommodations are subpar, outdated and the place has nothing special or distinguished. The shower didn't drain, the walls were dirty, the bed was very stiff and uncomfortable, and like mentioned in previous comments, the AC does not work. The staff is not the most helpful, the location is purely okay and the walls are incredibly thin as I was woken up several times through the evening by neighbors walking down the hallway. I don't understand how this place has the rating it has, especially considering the price range.

Imagine booking a hotel, arriving finding it closed, with just an A4 paper saying another hotel "100m" is where you need to check-in, put in google maps and realise it's 500m away. The check-in uses Covid as an excuse, but every other hotel is open in Rome with staff.. They just sell the hotel online, knowing its closed.. also we live in Rome, and they charged tourist tax, despite not being allowed to do so. The hotel they send guest too was clean, but the TV was super small and not at all great, breakfast was decent, but the fact they STOLE tourist tax when they are not supposed to, lied about the hotel being open, lied that it was only 100 m walk when google says 500 m, is an absolute disgrace,, they are dishonest and the hotel should be avoided at all costs.

Nice but room needs attention

The customer service and location was fantastic. The room was clean and spacious and a balcony with a great view. Downside was only 1 power point worked in the whole room. Breakfast is terrible, it was buffet and food looked like it had been laying there for days. Bread was dry and not fresh, nothing looked fresh. Yogurt was warm. There are lots of lovely cafes nearby for breakfast. I would stay here again if the power points all worked but I wouldn’t pay for breakfast again.

Nothing worked, no amenities.

We had three rooms one couple left early because it was so bad. No WiFi, no room service, no dry cleaning service, tv didn’t work had to have. it fixed twice before it worked, hair dryer didn’t work, never worked or was replaced, desk lamp didn’t work, said they couldn’t fix it. They would just keep saying they were working on things, We were there for four days because all the other hotels were booked or we would have moved. All the amenities were on their site when I booked through Hotels.com. Rooms so small no room for clothes or luggage. Room was only cleaned once in four days. Never stay there.
