Great location for us - a couple of minutes walk to several eating places, small corner shop type mini-market and Piazza Barberini which has a metro stop and e-scooter/bike park; 8-10 minutes to Spanish steps and Trevi fountain, 12-15 minutes to the main station, 15 or so to Pathenon and 20 to Piazza Navona and the Colesseum. Some of the cleanest rooms we have stayed in. En-suite and TV in the room, plenty of hot water with good water pressure! Everything that we needed - towels/soap/shower gel/loo roll, full window blinds, TV and a safe in the room, plenty of plug sockets, individual room air conditioning. Small entrance / reception area with a sofa and access to a small kitchenette - not to cook / self-catering, but access to fridge, microwave, facilities to make coffee etc - plenty for us to sort out fruit and coffee for breakfast! Quiet location - set back off a side street, with a secure entrance, in a block with apartments and some businesses (dentist etc) on the ground floor. We heard some footsteps from neighbours, occasional siren and some rumbling (?underground or lift) but nothing that disturbed us. Comfortable beds and a good night's sleep. We were a little confused as we thought we had booked a hotel with 24 hour front desk etc, but it was more of rooms in a small B&B / guest house type set up - but we need not have worried! Excellent host and happy to help to give advice, arrange late check in (small fee), airport transfer etc. The entrance was locked ouaila

A Star Inn gets 2 Stars

With this hotel, you must coordinate your arrival with the folks running it. Even though we did coordinate, we and another couple wound up waiting on the steps almost 45 minutes for Bruno to arrive to check us in. Even then, the "check-in" process took another 15-20 minutes, all the while my 4 year old needed to go to the bathroom. The room is small but relatively clean. Our room backed up to the communal space and every time someone comes in/out, the automatic lights come on and shone underneath our door in the middle of the night. The hotel is within walking distance to several main sites in the city which was one of the only benefits. Additionally, they will coordinate a taxi to/from the airport; just be aware it's double what the street taxis charge. Personally, we won't be returning.

Trying to stay positive

The Hotel was amazing and the staff very accommodating. Just a couple of gripes . They forgot to give me the code for the gate, and there were work men drilling holes next door. Apart from that I enjoyed waking up to the sound of a hammer drill, and enjoyed talking to strangers at 3 am in the morning when I had to miss a nights sleep because I couldn’t get into the hotel.

This was a guest house that was very clean with beautiful and clean rooms, daily housekeeping and safe place with secured entrance. The staff Bruno and Hillary welcomed us at the check in and provided helpful information. My husband and I enjoyed the short walking distance to many restaurants, Gelato stands and shopping areas as well as Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Parthenon, Museums, churches, the River and many other site seeing areas. We took uber to Colosseum and Vatican City. Over all a great stay and we recommend this place especially for the location and price.

Pros: The location is ideal for exploring the historical parts of Rome, offering proximity to everything and utmost convenience. The room was satisfactory, with everything functioning well. We communicated with the host via WhatsApp, which worked perfectly. Both check-in and check-out were remote, with clear and understandable guidelines. Cons: The rooms are quite small, and staying here with kids would be challenging. Although the room was clean, it didn't meet hotel standards. Overall, you get what you pay for, but we found it to be excellent value for the money. I recommend this place to travelers without kids who prioritize location and exploring the city over luxurious comfort.

Great place! I just had to walk from the train station; and from there you are right on the the center of Rome. Our host, Lucrezia, through Whatsapp, made communication so easy as for our checking and during our staying!

The rooms aren’t that good. You can hear everything while you’re in the room and everything going on and other rooms. The little old man at the front desk didn’t really wanna talk to me because I didn’t speak Italian. Hard to ask questions. No Wi-Fi in the room. The location is good. If you just need to come home and sleep it’s good enough.

Lucrezia Borgia is the best hostess ever! Fun and extremely helpful. I had a big problem with a baggage delivery from a very incompetent Lufthansa service and she jumped right in to help me as much as possible she gave great recommendations for food and may other things - couldnt have been better- she made my stay in Rome terrific! Very good place to stay and they are very helpful. I’d recommend making sure the city tax fee is charged as shown on Expedia though. Also important to mention, they describe as having luggage storage, but it’s not a room, so your bags may be unattended in the common area.

Great place to stay in Rome.

Stay was great. Check in was after hours and easily explained. Room was spacious for being in the middle of Rome. Metro station is very close. Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps both a short walk. My only issue with the room was the shower. It is small and is a fairly large step up from the floor.
