The hotel and its location were excellent. The staff was most helpful in arranging for tour events and directing me top the pick up sites. I was quite surprised that the breakfast was not automatically included. This is my experience most unusual.

We asked the front desk for a quieter room away from the elevator but we got a room right in front of the elevator. The room was quite dark , lighting definitely could be better. The air conditioning didn’t work. It stays at 18.5 C the whole evening. We had just gotten off of a 2 weeks cruise and had 5 pieces of luggage. The hotel staff didn’t help us with the luggage. It was rather difficult for two elderly women to get the luggage up to our room. This hotel isn’t worth the $630 plus we paid for one night. There are other nicer hotels in Reykjavik. Go somewhere else.

We had a wonderful four day stay. The welcome from the Staff was amazing. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in. Hotel is situated in a very central area, easy walking around city centre. Would definitely return.
