Excellent hotel from start to finish! The door access was a little tricky, but easily overlooked with all of the other GREAT offerings, including breakfast! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone else traveling to Reykjavik for convenience and comfort.

Reykjavik Residence was perfect for my son and me. We had a spacious but cozy two bedroom suite, breakfast basket with fruit, vegetables, cheese and yogurt and half a loaf of fresh sourdough bread. Hotel is just off the main shopping street and convenient to everything. Staff is professional and helpful.

The only staff we were in contact with was housekeeping and every interaction with them, they were very rude. The toilet had fecal matter on the outside of the toilet bowl.

The hotel is part of a 8-9 different apartment/hotels in the area. The check-in hotel was different hotel to the one we actually stayed. There was email communications before we arrived informing the check-in process (however we didn't read the details) hence we still went to the check-in counter and bypassed the 'quick check-in' option available. Totally our own fault. The room was exactly per the photos, very clean and warm. We loved the balcony which was super neat. The double bathrooms (for the 2 bedroom apt) we stayed was the winner as most 2 bedroom apartments we stayed in Iceland only have 1 bathroom. Would highly recommend this place for anyone interested.

The balcony offered views of the ocean. It was within walking distance of restaurants, stores & bus stops. I opted for the breakfast. It was delivered to my suite & put in the refrigerator the afternoon before. Plus, fresh baked sourdough bread was delivered every morning. The staff was excellent.
