Reasonable for a quick overnight stay but otherwise zero aesthetic appeal and no amenities. Arrived at 1:30 and no one at desk. Had to call and was told would be charged $30 to check in before 3pm. Came back at 3pm and had to call more than 10x before an answer. Young lady had to come from another property to check us in. Tub was questionable, low hot water pressure at bathroom sink, and had to remove a pillow because of unsightly brown spots. Then ironically in light of the checkin issues, on the morning of checkout the cleaning staff was knocking at 10:30am when check out was not til 11. Likely would not book here again.

The area was safe enough but the room was not great. Hair on towels, floor was sticky, bed was fine. Fridge was unplugged but eventually worked. There is no one at the front desk and you need to call to talk to somebody somewhere? Also the airport shuttle charges a fee, which was news to me. Very no frills but not a bad area.

The room smelled like it had been smoked in however for the price, I was pleased with my one night stay. It was clean and no fancy whistles but I would stay there again. I took advantage of the long term paid parking and shuttle to the airport which was very convenient.

A bed and shower

It was a place to sleep. Nothing more or less. The drawers were filled with someone else's trash. Its a bed and shower-- nothing more to speak of.

We arrived at 1:00am. There was nobody working in the office. The receptionist was in a neighboring building, so we had to call for her to check us in. She was very nice. We went to our room, but it hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests. We had to call the receptionist again, and she had to come back to our building. I felt bad about her having to do that. :( She gave us a new room. It smelled like smoke. She asked me to call her to let her know the room was ok, so she could go back to the main building. I couldn't call her because the phone in our room didn't work. The bed and the bathroom were clean enough, and that's all we wanted and needed.

If you value sleep, peace, or basic human decency, avoid the Economy Inn by Pittsburgh Airport at all costs. I stayed here after a long late-night work shift, desperately needing rest. Instead, I was bombarded with aggressive checkout reminders—phone calls and literal banging on the door starting 30 MINUTES before checkout time. I get it—check out is check out. But harassing your guests before the posted time is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. It felt like they were trying to drag me out with a broom. No courtesy, no patience, and absolutely zero hospitality. I’ve stayed in hotels all over the country, and I’ve never experienced such hostile treatment from staff. If you’re looking for a restful stay, this is not the place. Spend the extra few bucks elsewhere—you’ll thank yourself.
