From the moment I stepped into the room, I knew this stay was something special. The space was generous, spotlessly clean, and framed by a truly breathtaking view. Each night I fell asleep to moonlight shimmering across the ocean — one of those moments that stays with you long after you leave. The service elevated the experience even further. Housekeeping was led by the kindest, warmest soul, someone who genuinely deserves a Staff Member of the Month award. The reception team struck that perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness — polished, welcoming, and never pretentious. While the motel is currently undergoing renovations at the front of the building and pool area, it didn’t detract from the stay at all. Guests were thoughtfully accommodated with access to a pool just across the road, which made the transition seamless. The location, right on Scarborough Beach, is unbeatable — ocean air, stunning views, and that effortless coastal vibe. I can only hope I’ll be able to return one day. This was, without question, one of the best stay-away experiences I’ve ever had

We were very disappointed in our stay. On check in the staff member Stella was rude and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. It was disappointing to find that not only the pool was under maintenance but so was the parking which cost us so much extra. The elevators were broken down most days & the bedding was no more than 2 star, the mattress you could feel the springs in it. Stains on the carpet. Room service forgot to leave towels, there is no where to hang wet clothes from the beach. No outdoor seating on the balcony to enjoy the view. We paid extra for the corner room which was disappointing as it overlooked the pool which is under maintenance. Overall a lot of money paid for a 3 star stay. Would not recommend this hotel for the price.

Current Renovations were the biggest negative , not having a check in entry point to park while we were given room key and information. Parking was difficult to find. $25 a day is ridiculous, this should have been an add on considering we missed out on a pool and outside areas. Escalators going up for broken down the whole stay and foyer area wasn’t very welcoming and clean. The check in staff weren’t over friendly and at times seemed annoyed. The rooms were clean and today and our air con was great! Cleaning staff were very nice and did a great job. Views from balcony were lovely . We used the spa whilst there and the staff were just beautiful. Also the bar tender made an awesome cocktail !

For 4 nights, i was charged over $2000. Room service menu was seriously crap. I could have spent. 2 weeks in Bali for the same price. Definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Orbitz is amazing!! I needed to switch hotels and did so at 3am to be near the beach!! Even though they are remodeling the hotel we had a great stay. Rooms are spacious a bit dated but perfect for a family of 5. Breakfast was great especially for the kids!!! Make sure to pay for the ‘breakfast included’

Exceptionally average. Cleaners entering the room TWICE before 9am? Bathroom flooding with water from shower? WiFi blackouts? AirCon "resetting"? If this is what you're looking for then the Rendezvous is for you. If you're a fellow business traveller, FORGET it. This hotel leaves a lot left to be desired. 4/10

Took 20 minutes to locate the entrance as it was not clearly marked not great when you have 4 suitcases. The escalators were out of order which was not great either. The room did not get cleaned daily and the hotel is looking shabby to say the least. It was expensive and they need to really up their game.

Room not ready still undergoing cleaning after 3pm checkin time has passed, on-site facilities that are a main draw point under construction, under staffed and not very friendly, food selection onsite is poor. Don’t expect to have the waiter return to take your order, bed in desperate need of replacement you can feel the springs when you move, shower over bath is a shower head that you can’t stand under properly and water overspray pools around bath until it makes its way to flood bath mat. Waste of money and very disappointing indeed! Staff unapologetic!
