The commode leaking ,the bathtub wouldn't drain so there was a double hand full of hair in the drain it drained perfect after we cleaned it ...there was 250.00 held on my debit card ,that had never happened before ,I had too prove too the girls in the office that I paid 600 dollars up front too Expedia and all that was owed was 94 dollars they at first told me they wanted too hold 450.00 but then they knocked it down too 250.00 so check in was a real hassle and not sure I want too stay at sugar sands again this was the 4th or 5th time I had stayed there never had a problem before and never been charged a deposit ..

Terrible beds

Room was clean, kitchen stocked better than I expected, staff nice, surprised there is a $50/night damage fee and y’all the beds are old and terribly uncomfortable. Squeaky springs bruised my hips and man my back hurts! Hate it too bc this is pretty nice place other wise.

My 1st and last stay at that hotel

Staff was nice and informative,smoked detector beep off and on but finally stopped,didn't have a body mirror nor a peep hole on the door...housekeeping went in my room and front desk didn't let me know until after i went and said something,then they stated that housekeeping doesn't speak English and upon booking nowhere did i see that they charge you $150 that goes towards the room if its any damages,i called the hotel before arriving no one said anything about a hold fee that you get back in 5 to 6 business days...Beach view was great

Very clean room, excellent staff they were all very nice, we had a walkout room which made it very easy access to the pool and beach, however I was very unpleased about the 300 extra charge at check in. It’s a fee they charge then reimburse you after you leave (7-10 days). We budget for our vacation and that really put a huge damper on our trip.

Amazing location. As far as the property you get what you pay for. But it was clean, only issue was bathroom tub filled with water when we showered. Fridge and mini kitchen was very nice! Easy walk out to the beach. We will definitely return for this price.

Terrible. All this place has going for itself is the price in an otherwise uber expensive area. However this does not at all excuse it from being poorly kept. The parking is terrible and lacking immensely. The air conditioner does not regulate, the water stinks and there is absolutely no light inside the rooms. The outlets are loose and heater you plug in hangs out and sparks when removed. The trash bins outside stink. Every thing seems patched and band aided. The entry door has to be slammed to close. It is not worth the price. I don’t know how this place received 8-10 stars on this app.
