I came down from the Sacramento area for the Stay in Bloom festival. I found this place almost last minute, and it was close and easy enough to book. Surprisingly, they had courtesy Tesla charging stations under the covered parking area. That was nice, but I wish they had more stations.

DON’T STAY HERE

We were visiting Stanford University. We got in at a little after midnight. The check in person gave us a hard time because my middle name was not on the reservation. The room smelled like heavy cigarette smoke. The carpets were sticky and there was mold all over the bathroom as the below pictures. The shower head sprays outside the shower and so the floor floods so I had to dry it with our towels. The back of the door is rotted hence not a new problem. Blood stained towel. We had the DO NOT disturb sign on yet the room was cleaned this was an issue because all personal and valuable things were not secure as the safe was broken. I went and spoke to the young man at the check-in desk and he said he would pass it along. He was understanding. I didn’t hear from anyone. I travel often and I have written one other review all the years and it was for the best place we ever stayed and now this one.

I have stayed here before, and I will again. This is our go-to hotel for visits to Palo Alto. On one side, you have the busy street with amenities, but on the other side, you'll find a lovely natural setting with well-tended gardens in a beautiful neighborhood. We love the natural setting and the spaciousness. We enjoyed the balcony above the creek. Parking is free and easy.
