Room not great, but the staff makes up for it

This resort is old, and you can feel it in the rooms. We could hear every conversation from the room next door, through the walls, including their listening to a very loud movie at 3AM. The AC fan goes on and off all night, loudly. For the cost of the room, I would expect a much better experience. That said, the staff (other than one rude young women at the front desk) was wonderful. They proactively ask how to make your stay better. Everyone at the pool went above and beyond. Splashtopia is great for kids. Alex and Travis were amazing. The restaurants on property are just okay, but there are plenty of good places to eat close by.

The staff are well trained and polite. The service at the bars and restaurant was pleasant. We ordered the blue cheese burger at the bar and the taste was horrible. The common areas on the property as well as the pools' areas are well managed, with plenty of supplies, and impressively clean. The adults pool had no pool side service and we ended up settling at the genbral pool with unbearable children noise. The rooms (building 29 where we were staying), however, smell old (more like a Motel 6), furniture are rundown, the shower is flemsy and a renovation of the whole facility is long due. I was particulary ticked off by exurbitant $5.50 for a cup of regular small house coffee at the coffee shop. Even, the Starbacks charges $3.00 for a similar product.

Charming rustic Spanish property

I sincerely appreciated the charming rustic Spanish aesthetic of the property. The grounds are meticulously maintained, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The accommodations provide a comfortable retreat, although there are observable signs of wear, including a few distressed areas on the carpet and some tiles. The golf course is particularly inviting, characterized by its lush green fairways. A notable highlight of my stay was the heated pools, which offered a delightful experience for relaxation. I would certainly consider returning for another stay. Furthermore, the customer service, available via text, was impressively responsive and efficient.
