Clean room, good value and a good pub and restaurant down stairs. Thank you to the staff member who was downstairs at 6:30 am and who kindly got us a taxi. If it wasn’t for her help we would have missed our flight

General basic hotel room in the vein of Wetherspoons hotel or ibis basic- TV, bed, shower. Used the room service and it came very quickly and efficiently to the room. All staff were very nice and pleasant, even though the bar area was busy due to the football being on.

The room was pure magic, from the tartan carpets, to the four poster bed and the wee teddy on top!! The bathroom was beautiful, with the stand alone jacuzzi bath, very spacious! Breakfast was delicious with a good selection to choose from, plus regular drip coffee! The dining hall was something out of a dream with the large mirrors, paintings and stags heads. Having the Bothy Bar attached to the hotel was brilliant, foos delicious and a great selection of local whiskies. Location of hotel was perfect, within walking distance of the brewery, castle, forest walks and convenience shop. Highly recommend. My only change would be the removal of the american flag and the addition of the Canadian one instead.

Stayed for 2 nights and were really glad we did. Lovely restaurant with well cooked, reasonably priced food. Excellent staff, who make you feel really welcome. A very comfortable, tastefully decorated bedroom that was very clean with some nice touches. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice stay, but not being able to wear a football shirt was disappointing especially when I just drove 497 miles in it to get told to change it because of colours/football top, so rude being asked to change it immediately, didn’t even get a welcome or hello, plain rude bar staff

After a difficult flight delay, I had to book in at Abbey Inn last minute. What a wonderful place! We loved it! The staff were relaxed, cheerful, and very helpful. Clearly it was a classy neighborhood pub with a warm welcome and no snobbery (we came in a bit bedraggled from traveling). The food at the pub was excellent. Exactly the rest and respite we needed after some stressful airport situations. I would love to come back and stay longer. I couldn’t have picked a better place if I had spent months researching where to stay. Great place with great people!
