The room was fine, check in was easy. We did, however, have a significant issue with our stay. First, one of the TVs wasn’t working and would not connect to their directTV. It wasn’t a huge issue, the first night someone came up with a different remote and got it working. On the second day it happened again, we called and were told someone would come fix it again but no one ever came. Again, not that big of a deal.
The real issue occurred overnight on the second and last night of our stay. There was rain during the afternoon and into the evening. At around 4am water started dripping from the ceiling directly into the bed closest to the door. The bed was soaked. We shuffled around a bit because we had kids with us to get out of the wet bed. I called the front desk around 5 am to report the issue. They offered to move us but again, we had children asleep and didn’t want to wake them. They said they’d have maintenance come when they arrived at 7am. Maintenance did show up and then assessed the room above ours. Apparent there is an external crack at the balcony above ours which allowed the rain to soak in all evening. While I did get an apology no offer of reparations was made to an event which materially affected our stay.
I have now emailed the hotel, messaged through hotels.com, and reached out through messenger on Facebook. No one has responded in any way. Totally unacceptable.
