The stay was great, however the room we stayed in needed upkeep. Paint was peeling off the ceiling and many water stains. For an older hotel, I hope they invest better in maintenance as it is great location to stay.

Depending on the room you get the shower is extremely small and hard to fit a normal size person into. There is only one elevator so the wait time can be long if you do not want to use the stairs. Sometimes there was an odd smell in the building, but not in our room specifically. The location is in a nice spot on the boardwalk. Parking can be difficult at times.

***TRUE REVIEW***This hotel is extremely old with outdated furniture, and our room was dirty. There was dust and gum on the floor. The carpet was dirty and the wallpaper was ripping off. The bathroom in our room was outdated and with mold. The toilet lid was dirty. The bathrooms downstairs were dirty and stinky. The only good thing about this hotel is the location, the lobby and their porch! Staff were friendly. Thank God I only stayed one night.

Great location in a hotel with a historic-feel

We chose the smallest (budget-friendly) room and although it served it's purpose it was a bit cramped. It would have been nice if the tv was wall mounted opposite the bed instead of next to it. However, the bed was comfortable and there was a partial sea view that we didn't expect. Location is great (:

Old school charm

Boutique style, updated old hotel, so a little cozy, narrow spaces. Location perfect, porch delightful, lobby charming. Good coffee. Pool is a nice bonus, unfortunate that some rude guests think it is not for sharing, commandeer most chairs and tables and assume everone will appreciate their music selection on Bluetooth speaker. Not hotel's fault. Restaurant below delicious. Beach clean and accessible.

The location is the only positive. It’s right on the boardwalk and steps to the beach with no street to cross. But the positives stop there. The room was horribly dirty - dust everywhere, dingy floor and ceiling, dirty and old carpet, and we opened the drawers to find dust and dirt. The shower is very small. Our window was directly on a rooftop and the window was broken and was not locked when we walked in. Our body wash in the shower was empty upon arrival which shows the horrible attention to detail. The staff at check in did not make us feel welcome and the one time we had to ask for towels, it took 3 trips to the front desk before they were delivered. They offer daily room service but we declined this service due to the poor attention to detail we noticed at first sight. The only reason we stayed for our few nights was because it was non refundable.

This was our first time staying. We booked last minute, so our usual spot was not available. If your use to being close to the rides and attractions, i do not recommend. Although they are on the boardwalk, its a bit of a walking distance (we all got blisters). Our rooms were dirty (hair in the shower, a random lemonade cup found in the fridge, totally dusty). Bathrooms are super small (honestly looks more like an efficiency apartment then a hotel room). Theres an overall smell when you walk in (like mold). We actually brought air freshener for the week. Elevator situation was inconvenient because its so small. There was a line at one point with guest trying to transport their belongings to and from. Really only fits one person/cart at a time. Pool is across the street from the hotel (nice and big pool). Loved the 2 for 1 drink deals, but we did find a floating dental floss (and considering how clean the rooms were, we questioned the cleanliness of the pool). Lastly, some of the other guests were pretty questionable in character (getting high by the pool and parking lot).... overall, we will never stay there again. And, I learned a great lesson. Never plan last minute and stick with the place you know and love. Spend a little more $ and dont go there. It's not worth it.

The room are very small and outdated. Carpet was nasty , old and dirty looking. No table, desk or chair. Bathroom so small, no where to set anything down on. TV did not work although we were at the beach all day, you think when paying $300 a night you would have a nicer room with better amenities

The room was dirty, the tv did not work, the sink was clogged, and the mini fridge leaked. There was also an alarm going off outside our room for some time the one night before anyone came to turn it off. We would not stay here again and we would not recommend it to others.

Was here for a quick weekend getaway and it was worth every penny. It was clean, staff was friendly. It’s right on the boardwalk and seconds away from the sand. Would recommend if you’re staying in the area.
