You get what you pay for

The man checking us in was wonderful. The good things ended there. Between finding a hair claw/clip on the bed that wasn't mine, what appeared to be black mold on the walls in the bathroom, and the fact that we didn't have toilet paper or even a toilet paper HOLDER on the wall in the bathroom. I am never one to care where I stay when I just need somewhere to sleep, but even I cared this time. Nothing was overtly disgusting, but I still slept on top of the sheets with my beach towel as a blanket. Thankfully it was just one night. After 40 years in OCMD I finally found a place I won't stay again.

Place needs a major upgrade. No smoke detector in the room, floor was dirty, mold on several ceiling tiles, some unidentifiable mold covered thing growing on a baseboard, fridge wasn't cold and had rust on the door, a/c worked when it felt like it and had a "clean filter" light on, office staff was not available to check out when we left at 9:00am

There were still items from previous guests in the room, even though it was "cleaned". Sheets and towels had stains, and an extra sheet we requested even had clumps of hair. Air conditioning also had problems. The staff were nice and had good customer service

I liked that this property was close to the boardwalk & beach. For how much the rooms cost I didn't like sleeping on stained linens, also had broken off toilet lid in my double bed room, and didn't see a handle for bathtub water, had to only use shower. and some cable channels would get stuck in scramble mode. My family Did't like the small TVs in the King rooms. Could do better, and with the high price of this property could go down when other properties go down.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Black mold in various spots, especially in the bathroom. Unsafe furniture with screws sticking out — I cut my foot on one. The first night was $150. When we went to extend for a second night, the manager suddenly demanded $400 for the same room. We left. I accidentally left my backpack under the bed with my MacBook and iPad inside. When I called, the staff was dismissive and never returned my calls. I drove back, scanned for the devices, and confirmed they were still there. The manager acted very suspicious. Only after hours of persistence and mentioning police involvement did another staff member quietly hint at where my bag was, which eventually led me to recover it. During this process, I overheard staff speaking English with each other, but when I confronted them about my missing bag they suddenly pretended not to understand me. This was clearly an attempt to avoid responsibility. Between the mold, unsafe conditions, and dishonest handling of my belongings, this place is both dangerous and shady. I chose not to file a police report only because I wanted to focus on my family vacation, but in my opinion, this was attempted theft. The manager has a unique facial feature and actually lives at the hotel. Do not trust this guy or his staff. Stay far away from Cabana Hotel.

Worst place to stay

Bed broke when we sat in it, there was black mold everywhere because there was no ventilation. Tv didn’t work, all lamps, air conditioning, tv, microwave and fridge overloaded on ONE outlet! Shower head and handle was tore out of the wall and moved around.
