The room was fine—clean and updated. We had our pets with us and were disappointed that there was literally no where for them to go to the bathroom anywhere around the hotel. But the main disappointment for us was the noise above our room. We were on the 7th floor and apparently there is a nightclub on the 8th floor. There was no noise insulation between our room and the club. We heard every time a chair scrapped across the floor. This noise went on past 1am. We called twice to the front desk and first they did not explain that there was a club above. They just said they would look into the noise. The second time I called—at 12am—they explained there was a “lounge and club” on the 8th floor and we would just have to deal with it. It would have been helpful to know that the first time we called down. The young woman at the front desk was unapologetic and unsympathetic that we could not sleep. I am very surprised to receive this lack of service from a Marriott property. We will not be back.
