Room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was sub-par (fruit salad should have been chucked; bread, not especially fresh) Big disappointment was the outdoor pool. I was told on the phone that it was heated, but it definitely was not. If so, it felt quite cool to the touch, for sure. I consoled myself with the fact that there was a hot tub out there, but alas; that was closed for repairs. As I booked my special overnight especially for the heated outdoor pool use, I feel that the hotel should have let people booking, know that these were not in proper working condition!

North Conway Grand Hotel - Not a 4 Star Hotel

For a hotel rated with 4 stars, I expected a higher level of professionalism and courtesy. We stayed for 2 nights (Thursday/Friday). Our room was 'cleaned' Friday. However, it was more of a "straighten up" - our bed was not remade - it was just straightened up and our pillows were not freshened. The decorative pillows were lying on the floor and never placed back on the bed. There was a function hosted in a conference room right outside of our room, which went to 11:30pm Friday night. However, there is a sign/policy at the hotel that "quiet time" starts at 10pm. Additionally, there was a morning breakfast on Saturday - which again was fairly loud and disruptive. When we checked out, the front desk employee never asked how our stay was. Also, for the nightly rate we paid for Friday (in particular - as it was 2x the rate on Thursday night), I would've expected better service, a cleaner room and a room/facility that stood up to a 4 star rating.

There was some confusion with some staff regarding maid service. On day 2 our room had not been cleaned. When we inquired at the front desk we were told we had to call for it daily, however, this option was not listed on the welcome letter. We spoke with Miranda who stated she will review with staff so everyone was on the same page. Our room was cleaned the next day & when asked for clean towels they were brought to our room. Otherwise our stay was enjoyable & relaxing. The pool & hot tub was very nice as was the outside firepit. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so no comment was made. I would stay with you again.

It was okay

Found the remote dirty under the bedside table. Waited 40 minutes for the check at the hotel tavern. All the chips in their store were expired, reported it and they were still sitting there the next day. Convenient and great breakfast.

Room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom outlet was really worn. It required several attempts to plug in the hair dryer before it would stay plugged in! The sink faucet handles were really messed up and the drain plug wouldn’t open very far! The shower drain plug was about the same, wouldn’t stay open! Other than those few things, had a pleasant experience! It did seem really hot in our room even after turning the temperature down to 65* and turning off the switch on the thermostat.

We had a great room with a jacuzzi. The only problem we had was with the heat. The heating system is old, and we needed maintenance to fix the heater to switch from AC to heat. That shouldn't have to happen; in many hotels, you can switch from AC to heat without calling a maintenance person! Other than that, there were no issues, but I hope they upgrade the heating system soon.

Overall, this hotel was clean, nice and good atmosphere. However we traveled here in October a the heat inside was almost unbearable. The rooms were very hot and no ac switch as you had to call maintenance to come change the unit back to ac. The mattresses were very firm. Those two things were the only downfalls I had with this hotel. Otherwise it was very nice

Did not ask for handicap room, but our stay was great. Enjoyed the upgraded outdoor area, convenience to shops. A beautiful spot, stayed here several times now. Only thought is, why the handicap room when we didn't request it? Will definitely return.

A nice, cozy semi-resort in an area with lots of food and shopping options. North Conway is a great location in general if you are there to enjoy nature during the fall.

We didn’t try the breakfast. Our 1st night the room was too warm but we had maintenance turn the ac on the second night. We could hear Indic from outside until around 11pm
