Few blocks to the promenade with an awesome view of Nice French Riviera. Fare roomrate though property has only few rooms. Gentleman at desk was helpful.

Fab stay

Great value for money and close to lots of bars restaurants and the promenade. Giles the owner is a lovely friendly chap and knowledgeable and helpful. He has a gorgeous dog called Maurits who is adorable

Absolutely loved the location, literally a five minute walk to the most beautiful swimming beach! We deeply appreciated the warm welcome from the host and his friendly wee dog! We felt right at home and very comfortable for our entire stay! The host even marked out all the sights on a map for us to explore. Our breakfast was delicious and we had so much selection to choose from. We would definitely stay here again !

Merci de votre chaleureux accueil, hotel fantastique et excellent petit déjeuner. La chambre et le lit étaient très propres/comfortable et il y avait un air climatisé très performant, surtout en ce temps de canicule. Staying at Hotel Victor Hugo was such a pleasure! Gilles and his doggy Marius were such amazing hosts, and were so much fun to interact with in the mornings. The location was perfectly close to many great attractions, and offered plenty of amenities. Our room was a great size, and even had it's own kitchenette which was very convenient. And the free breakfast is a huge bonus! Would definitely stay here again.

Loved our stay here in at Hotel Victor Hugo in Nice! The employees are beyond friendly and give tips on what to do/see in the area. It’s so close to the promenade (and the beaches) and even closer to a tram station (super easy if going/coming from airport). Rooms were clean and the area in general feels super safe. Totally recommend this hotel!

We had a great stay and appreciate the nice breakfast and helpful suggestions from Gilles. We booked the room with attached small extra sitting and kitchen space and that was perfect. The bathroom is small and shower a step up so not perfect if mobility issues. Location in the city is great with the tram to the airport right across the street. Appreciate the convenience of an ice maker. Located in a beautiful old building.

Staying at the Hotel Victor Hugo was an absolute pleasure. The building is lovely and quaint. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel owner, Gilles, is personable, friendly, fluent in English, and a great conversationalist. His little dog, Marius, is a joy and greeted my wife at our door every morning when we emerged for breakfast. In the breakfast room, there is a sign in French and English thanking you for feeding neither Marius, the dog, nor Gilles, the owner. Take note that the hotel is modest—if you are looking for opulence and all the amenities, this is not it. But if you want an authentic, human experience, good conversation over breakfast, and a taste of old-world Nice, you’ll love it. We did. We would absolutely stay there again.

This is a very quaint hotel. Lovely decor. Very delightful host. Gilles was so friendly and he interacts and gets to know his guests. We felt like we were guests in his home. Lovely breakfast. Very clean and well appointed rooms.

This property is mis-represented. It is not a hotel. It is 4 rooms in an apartment block. The rooms are badly laid out. Shower was almost impossible to use. Bathroom sink and tap layout not fit for purpose. The breakfast are is effectively a large broom cupboard. There is no where to sit down comfortably. More than three people and it would be a squeeze. Don’t mention parking. There isn’t any. Terrible place. Stay clear. Go to a real four star hotel.

Very surprised when we got there we couldn't get in, walked right round the block to find a way in. Owner very friendly and his new dog, room very basic and clean, for the price it was fine. We did not realise he only has a few rooms on the first floor, the rest of the building is apartment's or offices, hence why we couldn't walk in. Breakfast was very basic but for the price it was fine.
