NYC weekend

The room was nice and bed comfortable. We arrived early were told the room was ready and were given the wrong room. We waited for the correct room which was fine but then there was no hot water. We asked for an iron and waited almost an hour almost making us late.

This was our first time to New York and we enjoyed our stay. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the staff surprised us with wine and chocolate. Our only negative was the shower design allowed water to get all over the floor making for a precarious situation when getting out. The last day the fire alarm went off in our room only which was an inconvenience, but staff was quick to remedy it. We were able to get Lyfts easily at the front of the hotel.

Hotel Park Avenue getting totally redone. Expected to finish later this year but the renovated rooms are bright and spacious. Staff could not have been nicer. Will definitely be back!

I come here often. Under new ownership. I notice nice subtle changes in the room and lobby is redone. Stay are pleasant and helpful. Plans for restaurant at ground level as well as at terrace.

Throughout my 4 night visit, The fire alarms went off every day. One instance the fire alarm went off at 3 a.m . which was both disruptive and concerning. To make matters worse, the new york fire department arrived at the property on several instances, only to find no real emergency, which further added to the noise and unease. What frustrated me most, however, was the lack of transparency regarding the extent of the renovations in the building and the impact it had on the mechanical systems. I believe guests should have been informed in advance about these ongoing problems, especially when it significantly impacted their comfort and safety. it was by far the most unsettling stay I have had at any hotel.

The fire alarm went off at 3am - according to the front desk, it went off in reaction to the steam from someone's shower. That was really bad and lasted for WAY too long. The next afternoon it went off again - and wasn't a fire. It was very hard to trust the alarms after that.

Close to a subway. Staff friendly. Room was basic but comfortable and shower was great. Breakfast was a bag of items from Pret- banana, granola bowl and orange juice- same everyday- when booking the advert stated continental breakfast. The hotel is being refurbished and apart from a sign in lobby no notification of this. To get mini fridge stocked you have to request at reception. Expensive for what you get!
