Staff was courteous, and even provided a wine bottle as a gift for the stay. The hotel is located strategically and is within minutes of Time Square and subway stations for access to other areas.

Hotel Edison has a great location if you are looking to watch a Broadway show or walk in Times Square. It is a very old hotel, you can hear your neighbors through the walks and doors, the water pressure is not great, my shower kept dropping the water back to the tub faucet. My daughter got a cold shower. I was on the 16th floor, that may have had something to do with it. I do love the restaurants associated.

First Room 353 was a mess, very small, bathroom was missing a shower door, and furnace was very loud. No microwave or Frig Second Room 1703 was much better, still no microwave or frig

Enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. I wish there was a fridge in the room but that didn't negatively affect our stay. Breakfast was a bit confusing. When you book it says included but when you arrive they give your a good voucher up to a certain amount and you have to cover the rest of the bill. The Rum house is a great place to grab a drink. Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel.

I can't believe we had such an awesome experience for such an affordable price! The art deco atmosphere was so fun - the room and the lobby were comfortable and clean, and so many little early 20th century details! The staff was friendly, approachable and so helpful! The location was absolutely perfect! We were in the city for just one night for Hadestown at the Walter Kerr Theater just one block over. Rounded out with meals at Friedmann's IN THE HOTEL for dinner at Gayle's Broadway Rose (check it out!) and an almost fully complimentary breakfast (we left a tip 😋), I will recommend Hotel Edison on 47th to EVERYONE!!
