The first room.was well below 4.5 star and was dissapointing - cracked vanity, incredibly noisey, no proper ventilation in bathroom , and lacked privacy ( cleaning staff walking past front windows and looking in). We moved upstairs and were very happy with the second room - where decor was way better and had a quality feel. We kinda had to push to get a room change and had to pay extra - but so glad we did. We get annoyed advertising photos don't match what we find on arrival.

Great accomodation, great location and great dinning. The bar and restaurant staff were all lovely. One gripe is the parking. Not enough for all guests and if you want a guaranteed parking space you have to pay $15.

Conveniently located to City Ctr, nice restaurant on site, clean rooms. But because it backs up to river, we did see water bug in bathroom, but had provided bug spray.

Loved its location, which is just a few mins walk from the eateries and shops. Our room was at the end of the hall and facing the river so it was nice and quiet. Parking spaces are adequate. Staff has been helpful but would be even better if they were more enthusiastic.

Perfect setting for a surprise birthday party. Loved the shower pressure and the spa bath. The velvet chairs are lovely to sit in and the choice of indoor and outdoor setting fitted our needs perfectly.

Conveniently located, comfortable accommodation.
In a convenient location, just a short walk to restaurants and shops. We had a room overlooking the river estuary with lots of coastal birds to keep us entertained. The room was comfortable and the breakfast good. We would stay again when visiting Nelson.

Every thing about the hotel was great except our experience with breakfast. We were told fhat that a large group had just left and that the kitchen was now "busy" that the pnly thing available to us was the "cold continental breakfast" that would have been fine except that the items had not been replentished after the large group had left and that because the kitchen was "busy" there would be no replentishment even though there was an hour and a half left on the breakfast schedule.With the minimal selection of items we, and others, were charged the full breakfast . Such a disappointment for an otherwise lovely llace.

The hotel was in a pretty good location. It did take us awhile to find a coffee shop the first morning. The dining room was good and the entire staff was excellent. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough parking spots available. That being said, we didn't pay for parking!
