Boutique Premium Suite in 12 South | The Gilmore

WELCOME TO THE GILMORE

Award-winning and guest-loved, The Gilmore is #1 out of 235 hotels on TripAdvisor, Top 1% on Airbnb, 4.9-stars on Google, and ranked #3 in the South by Southern Living.

In the leafy, low-slung streets of 12 South — where front porches outnumber high-rises and the best mornings start with a slow coffee — The Gilmore brings a touch of European leisure to one of Nashville's most beloved areas. As 12 South's first full-service hotel, it pairs Mediterranean-inspired design with the attentive, five-star hospitality AvantStay is known for. Breezy courtyards invite you to linger, a warm lobby welcomes you in, and small, considered details encourage you to slow down and stay awhile. Dedicated concierge service, thoughtfully curated dining, and a genuinely warm guest experience make a stay here feel less like checking into a hotel and more like settling into the area.

Guest Rooms
From studios to roomy four-bedroom layouts, every room at The Gilmore reads as its own quiet retreat. Expect plush furnishings, one-of-a-kind art, and a calm, grounded palette drawn from the Mediterranean, with large windows keeping the spaces bright through the day. Select rooms open onto private balconies. It's comfort and style in equal measure, minus the fuss.

Every room also comes stocked with full-size toiletries, plush branded robes, a Nespresso machine and tea, a dedicated workspace, and a clothing steamer — the small comforts that make a few nights feel effortless.

One-Bedroom Suites add room to spread out: a separate bedroom with a king bed and blackout curtains, a living area with a TV and sleeper sofa for extra guests, and a kitchen with a sink, microwave, stove, and fridge for meals on your own schedule.

Explore Music City
The area is half the appeal. Step outside and 12 South's boutiques, coffee shops, and celebrated restaurants are an easy walk away. City centre sits about a ten-minute drive off, putting the Ryman Auditorium and the honky-tonks of Broadway within easy reach — and on Friday and Saturday nights, a complimentary shuttle runs guests straight to Broadway. The Grand Ole Opry, out by Opry Mills, is a 15- to 20-minute drive northeast and well worth the trip for a night of live country.

Gather and Unwind
Up on the Skyline Terrace, all of 12 South unfolds below. Bistro tables make it a natural spot for morning coffee, while the lounge seating comes into its own at sunset. Open to every guest and able to host up to 50, it's the best view in the building.

The Poet's Courtyard is the hotel's calm centre — a green, tucked-away space with a communal table and quieter corners to disappear into. Order in from the neighbouring restaurants and settle in; with room for up to 190, it suits a slow morning or a proper gathering equally well.

The Gilmore Room is the flexible one: an enclosed, polished space for up to 33 that adapts to whatever you bring to it, from a working meeting to a private wellness session.

And when you'd rather not go anywhere at all, in-room spa services come to you — massages, IV drips, and more, arranged around your schedule.

Celebrate in Style
Planning something bigger? The Gilmore makes group stays easy. Book a handful of rooms, take over a floor, or reserve the entire hotel to suit a celebration, a group getaway, or an offsite. A dedicated events manager handles it end to end, with local recommendations, curated vendor options, and the coordination that keeps everything running smoothly — and bookable spaces like the Poet's Courtyard, the Skyline Terrace, and the Gilmore Room give you room to gather however you like.
