If you’re here in Spring (September to November), the National Iris Farm is a lovely spot to explore, when over 800 different breeds of iris come into bloom. The gardens are magnificent, so bring a picnic and enjoy lunch overlooking the flowers. They also have a large display of minerals, rocks, corals, shells and artefacts from New Guinea. Nearby be sure to stop in at Lime Grove to try their signature product: fresh lime juice cordial.
