I did look around the area. It seemed to be an older part of town. I was just there over night.
The lady that looked after me during my arrival and breakfast was terrific. It was a pleasure to talk with her. She brought me a delicious breakfast and my eggs were just the way I like them.
Our stay was pleasant overall. Hotel owner is lovely and very kind. Breakfast was great.

Comfy bed but nothing else!!!
Well the bed was comfy!!! Never saw anybody. Keys left on a shelf. Room 6 - upstairs. No lights and no direction to room numbers. No hot water for the shower in the morning. Choice of sugar and milk for a hot drink. I left the key on the same shelf.

I booked this property at 10am and arrived at 7:15pm. When i arrived there was no one to process my booking for 15 minutes and when she did arrive she told me that she wasn't expecting me and after some "back n forth" she admitted that she had been too busy to check her booking system with Expedia and had given my 2 rooms to "walk ins". So there was no room available for me and my colleague. There was no remorse or apology from the waverly. Because of this hotel, I had to spend the next 90 minutes sat outside the waverly on the phone to Expedia to resolve this. Expedia managed to find me 2 rooms 75 minutes away which meant we arrived at our room at 10:30pm with no food available and having to be up early as we were so far away from the location we needed to be at, so no time for breakfast either. To say this establishment had a negative effect on my day would be an understatement. I wont make the mistake of trying to book the Waverly the next time I'm in Scotland
Check is a bit tricky only because Denise is busy doing all jobs at her hotel. Just be patient, you’ll find her in the hotel somewhere. She is a very sweet, hard working, beautiful host and she’ll do everything to make you stay pleasant. Would definitely stay again if in Nairn again. Great location.
Been to Nairn twice this year and on both occasions have stayed at this unique hotel.
The style of the building has character and the hostess Denise makes you very welcome indeed so friendly and approachable.
Had many a great conversation with Denise and she also provides a fantastic breakfast in a lovely dining room setting.
Here we are already looking forward to our next stay.
