As a solo traveler, feeling safe is a high priority. I was getting nervous because many reviews are so salty. Make sure you understand the difference between "Oceanside" & "Oceanview" as you choose your room. After a quick mattress-&-mirror check, I was ready to relax & start my mini vacation that I stressed so hard over. This place may not be for everyone, but any flaws noted are merely cosmetic & nothing to write home about. The driveway to check-in is quite tiny & not for the weak to maneuver. The front desk was happy to print a map to show me where to park after check-in, which was a VERY short trek across a very safe, pedestrian-friendly street. Not many amenities in the room itself, but ask the front desk for anything you need! Walking the beach alone felt safe, & many visitors were on the beach well past dark. Pool area was enjoyable. I live in Michigan, so our very short pool season won't begin for another month. There are no signs prohibiting bluetooth speakers in the pool area, so don't expect a quiet lounge. This place was a literal paradise & I was just happy to be near the ocean & sunshine. I don't have the privilege of traveling very often, & an affordable room with an ocean view was just what the doctor ordered. Walking to shops & local eateries was easy & I felt safe everywhere I explored. The closest shop was about half a block away with snacks & drinks & of course souvenirs. I can't wait to come back one day, thank you!!

Came in 1 night early had no ocean front availability, had to move rooms, each room had there own issues, cleanliness was suspect at best, overall quiet somewhat accommodating. The evening manager Sholanda was exceptional, and treated us exceptionally during our stay. Can make some concessions on other issues with great cutomer service like she sought to provide. Wished her positive attitude ran through the rest of the staff tbh. Could be an excellent place overall with some strong ownership and overall supervision.

Check in was slow and added a 1 hundred dollar deposit. Not enough bath towels and wash cloths. Had to ask repeatedly for more towels and wash cloths. Lightning was not good in room. Trash was not picked up from room the entire stay. We had to dispose of trash ourselfs. Batteries were down in tv remote. Bath water was slow to warm up. The floors were sticky to walk on. The balcony door was unsecured and hard to open and close.

The ocean view was really nice. We had to get another room because our initial one wasn't clean yet. The room had no face towels and only one towel. The couch had me itching it had dog hair one it. The stove aisles didn't work only 1. We saw a roach in the kitchen. The elevator was broke had to keep calling from the ground floor to get to our room.

It is a very old and small hotel, which perhaps the location is the only good thing, there is a lot of disorder, there were a lot of people with music all night and people who were in the pool all night despite the restrictions, I honestly would not return there

Wonderfully nice individuals working throughout the hotel in all departments and positions only complaint was out of their control the FOB/ keys for the entire hotel stopped working during a small storm at midnight Thursday before checking out Friday. Great parking lot across the stree though It needs to be cleaned and obviously hasn’t been for some time. Amazingly nice staff and enjoyable resort especially considering the value (I renovated overall) but the room was spacious and had a kitchen it exceeded my expectstions

I’m not sure where all the negative comments are coming from—keep in mind, you’re booking a resort in Myrtle Beach, not a Hilton or Marriott, and you’re getting what you pay for. The staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful, and I especially enjoyed chatting with the front desk team—they were personable and welcoming. Yes, the resort could use a little TLC in some areas, but it was perfect for the purpose of my trip. The location is excellent, and the views are beautiful. As for the complaints about not getting an oceanfront room—make sure you’re booking a room labeled “oceanfront,” not just “ocean view.” There’s a difference, and it’s clearly stated when booking.

Upon arrival we had to sweep up the trash left on the floor. I informed the front desk and was told house keeping isn't available and all rooms are sold up.

First I wanna start by saying the staff was very friendly and very helpful. but when I first arrive and got my key to my room, they gave me the wrong room. Then when I got the right key to my actual room, the room was a little dirty. It had leftover food from the last people that stayed there in the refrigerator and had leftover food in the drawers, and the sheets were dirty. Also, the balcony door was cracked. But other than that, it was a great experience.
