The room was clean and parking was very good. There are plenty of options for takeaways nearby. We were disappointed with check in though. We were at a family funeral and were aware check-in was early. We tried to call reception about 7 minutes past 6 to apologise for being late and to ask if they would leave a key hidden somewhere. Leaving our family earlier than we did would have been rude. We had to rush to get to the motel. The reception area was locked and the outdoor lighting was very poor. No one answered the bell outside reception. We finally found a note with our names and about 4 parties who were in the same boat. In fairness we were late but we had prepaid. Hoteliers do need to eat and have down time but 6pm is hardly midnight and keeping people up until midnight.
