easy access to the park

I wasn't very happy with the condition for the price I paid, but my partner who lived in CA said this place is very resonable. It is nice and cozy. Staffs were very friendly. I wished I booked the place with kitchen. There was not many option for dining, and it was very expensive. I will prepare better next time.

Very quiet at night. Great place if you’re looking to get off the grid for a while. I was traveling with another couple with one vehicle and asked for cottages next to each other, which they did confirm the day before. Bit when checking in we weren’t together and they couldn’t do anything to fix it. And didn’t seem to care either

Assigned parking, BIG room, great heater and hot water in the bathroom, refrigerator and electric kettle in the room and so many wildlife near the cabins… even we had balcony….. a great place inside the park… great find for us! Loved it… no WiFi in the cabin and phone connection is almost zero for AT&T…

This hotel is centrally located if you want to explore Big Sur. You get free access to 3 state parks in the area if you stay here, which is nice. It's about 1 hour each way from Carmel, tho. I had a room with a fireplace and they delivered wood daily. The room was thoughtfully arranged and accessorized with games, electric outlets, mini-fridge, extra towels & blankets, etc. Friendly, clean, close to well maintained trails. It was wonderful to be able to disconnect from city life for a few days. Loved it. Will be returning.

The location and property are fantastic, but the only issue is that since the property allows wood burning, it can be difficult to tell whether the smell in the room is from smoke or the wood burning. It took us about 20 minutes to step outside to determine the source of the smell.

Really beautiful location it feels like you’re just tucked into the woods and part of the nature. The lodge is old and cozy. Was clean and comfortable only thing is they didn’t make the bed for some reason on the second day? Staff was super friendly and helpful. Erin? Restaurant server was such a gem. Overall really enjoyed my stay and would recommend!

There were some cobwebs in the corner of my room and on the ceiling. The fan also was dirty on the bottom, as it had not been cleaned in a long time. At night it is very dark, not too much lighting outside, but parking is easy. The room is spacious and the small deck is convenient.
