Overall, we had a average to bad experience during this stay. It seems like such a commercial operation where they are trying to nickel and dime us at every step. When we checked in, they offered us an upgrade to the room for an additional 500$ which we took. They didn' tell us that our original room was ready and this new upgraded room was not and we had to wait for 3 hours with a toddler after traveling for 8 hours, for the room to get ready. At every restaurant the service was so marginal. The servers were literally rolling their eyes for simple requests. They would start off as soon as we sat down, with telling us what was not available in the menu. Which usually would be the most popular/best dish in the menu. SO most of the menu items that were available were like, bagged salad veggies, the frozen to deep fired breaded stuff, fries etc, which we were sick of after day 2. They said we had 750$ of resort credit, but its actually just a way to get you to spend more. You cant actually use that for any of the services until you spend way more than 750$. Even at the gift store, a tote bag is 175$ and you have to pay 15% fee if you use resort credit. Plus the usual marketing strategy of trying to get you to attend a session to sell time shares at promotional breakfast, trying to get you to buy 250$ for future visit at check out. The funniest thing was during checkout they spent 15 mins to figure out if we stole a ceramaic soap dispenser or if there never was one in the room!

We paid for the upgrade we received $1,300 for the vip section of the hotel on the first floor beach walk out with patio and hammock.. this room had no air conditioning they worked on it until about 1 am. 1st day wasted on moving from room to room and slept in 82degrees. Second day we finally got moved 3 doors down. The temp was 72 and kept climbing into the day. They worked on it until midnight same guys same issues as the other room. Slept in 82 degrees again. Finally got moved again the 3rd day to a new room 3rd floor lost beach access and hammock… price still the same of course. But we did have air. In these moves we moved ourselves twice and they moved us twice. We had to go to public relations every time they never came to us until Hensley got involved. She was the last person we had to deal with. She communicated well. She verified that the room had air before we were moved there and she had our luggage’s moved. We agreed on free couples massage 50 min and 2 days of the upgrade money back. After all of the moving we were finally able to start our vacation on the 3rd day. They were more concerned with the palace presentation for travel than our comfort. The place was outdated and not worth what we paid. The crowd there is a more party crowd not our vibe we went to relax which is why we paid extra to be on the quiet side of the resort. We will not stay at this facility again.

It shouldn't take an hour to check in and then another hour to check out. Although they offered late check out it wasn't available. That seem to be the theme for whole trip. What offered was never available. Restaurants on the property were always booked expected for the buffet. The buffet was probably the best to eat. I was disappointed with this resort and wont return .

The properties lovely located in downtown Ocho Rios with used to the ocean and the bay. We were so happy to book with Expedia because we got special service and credits that we used at the spa. You still have to pay a service fee for whatever you use your credit on. The interior of the hotel is great that I do think the exterior needs maintenance and I wouldn’t say it was 5 star more 3.5. The food was great, especially for an all-inclusive especially the Jamaican food.

The property had a great atmosphere and offered delicious food options. The staff experience varied; some were lovely, while others were somewhat rude. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. However, I had a terrible time at the spa with Chanelle. I paid for a deluxe pedicure, and it was awful. My cousin was getting her pedicure done by Shushana, and I couldn’t help but look over and wish I had gotten her instead. My cousin’s service started after mine, yet she finished before me, while my pedicure was poorly done and felt very lazy. I was quite annoyed. Even Shushana seemed to notice and came over to give me spa slippers after my nails were painted.. I was quite annoyed. However, Big up Sameerah at checking, Euthea at Gondola, Anthony, the guy outside getting the bags. Shushana, who did my cousins' pedi, was so lovely with us. Sundeck indian food was amazing, Gondola was lovely 5 5-star experience. Buffet food is tasty, Jerk hut sooo goood. Music and entertainment were on point. Rooms were small as well as the bathroom, but it was still comfortable. Sherida at the vacation planner room was lovely, everyone else we encountered in there pretty much had dismissive attitudes. The Piano Bar was sooooo good my parents' fave place, and the staff in there was perfect. The coffee shop so convenient and great.

I went to the Moon Palace for 6 days with my family, & I must say the vibes were on point. atmosphere was in the air from the moment we arrived.The staff at the door were wonderful. Sameerah at check-in was so lovely, and then Denise, the manager, came over and greeted us. For me, the place was lovely, rooms were very compact, a bit too small for me as well as the bathrooms, we had Expedia Platinum, not sure exactly what the perks were tbh, but we did get a room upgrade to an ocean view room & some resort credit. I didn't really notice any special treatment, it was pretty much like my other family members who had regular bands. we did get a farewell song sang for us. Now to the staff some persons were very huggish for instance the only nice person in the vacation planning room where you book spas, activities etc was Sherida there was another woman in particular who was so hoggish but i didnt check her name.Euthea at the Gondola, what an amazing server, possibly the most professional staff member I encountered I felt like i was truly in a 5 star restaurant. The food at the Gondola was lovely. Momo was not very tasty, pretty bland. The indian food at the Sundeck was amazing the best on the resort. Jerk hut was lovely the volcano sauce was to die for. There were 2 guys there, 1 who was not very welcoming, & the 1 who was there on Sunday was such a nice guy. Chanelle was the worst I booked a dluxe pedi & it was so lazy & poor. Get Sushana to do your pedi, my cuz had a good 1
