I really I’d recommend this property. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. The grounds are well maintained and the property is beautiful. Nice long stretches of beach to walk, too. The rooms were quite spacious as well! Just a couple of suggestions for improvement … 1) Central bar (or two!) is very much needed. Somewhere to go after the sun begins to set to just sit and have a drink vs having to be at an actual restaurant. A lobby bar and/or an outdoor bar would be a perfect addition. 2) More food variety on the buffets. We learned a little late that ordering off the menu helps in this regard, but I think even just a few additions like more fresh fruit options at breakfast, oatmeal, and then more salad/fresh veggie options at lunch would go a long way. 3) When it’s time to remodel/refresh the rooms, the bathroom could use some work. It was VERY small. Especially for 4 people, but it would even bee very cramped for just 2. Again, I’ve stayed at many all inclusive in various parts of Mexico - including the Grand Velas - and this is an excellent options; specially for families on a budget.

Had a great stay. Beds were comfy. Food was pretty good, could be a little bland depending on what you order, all the classics were excellent. Property is immaculate. 15-20 minute cab ride to explore the Malacon. Make sure to enjoy that area of town. Room was spacious (2bedroom look off). The room did have a musty smell, however the cleanliness of the room offset that. I would go back. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Make sure you catch some day trips with Valllarta Adventures, they were awesome. Don’t do the San Sebastián trip if your looking for tequila tasting, great host, just kind of lame. Vellas Vallarta was good for us, family with two teens. Everything shuts down at 10:30-11:00pm. It’s not a “party destination”. Which we liked. Quite every night.

Great spring break stay with teens

I was looking for an all inclusive that would hopefully have other families with teens for spring break and Vellas was perfect. It's a pretty place with lots to do and easy access to good food (again - teen appetites). Everyone was very friendly. The beach was great for us - it was higher surf which we loved but probably not easy for smaller kiddos. The beach cabanas and shaded lounge areas (with flowering vines) was really nice but you had to get one early.

Two Restaurants, but Fantastic food on a rotating menu (not Cisco garbage like the chain hotels). Good AC, Good pools. Beach is clean sand and swimmable but waves can be rough. Little kids can play in the sand and stay shallow. Resort could use more chairs or enforce double Staking Policy better as too many people claim areas at the beach and pool in excess numbers which is very annoying. Special place in hell for the tatted Karen at the beach who got called out for that (you know who you are). Good drinks. Overall, A and have no complaints. Family was happy and want to return next year. Be aware that the 1 bedroom suites have 1 bathroom which is a bit atypical.

My family and i are in love with this place! Truly amazing and staff is very friendly. Rooms are clean. Will be staying here again for our next vacation!
