Regular guest of this hotel worried for its future

We’ve stayed here many times in the past decade and preferentially choose the Westin bc we love it, but this time, it was unimpressive at best. The place just felt strained and sort of underwater, which is concerning. Maintenance and front desk staff were very helpful in trying to fix the a/c in our room that wasn’t working, but it was ultimately not resolved until the following morning and we only stayed one night. Restaurant is under construction, but there was a stop work order on the door seemingly due to lack of permits required? Seems like a major management issue. Thomas in a the makeshift bar was excellent ; we were glad for his company and service.

The room I booked and paid for was a two bed queen but there were no two bed rooms available when I checked in at 5pm. Had to settle for one bed room. Bathroom vanity is so small. There is no room for female toiletries. The shower was freezing cold so no shower to start the day.

There being a parking garage and skyline connected to the hotel was very convenient! There should have been better signs for direction to get to the front desk with there being construction. Also, would be nice if there were vending machines or a little small area near the lobby/front desk to purchase drinks and snacks. Wasn't the best being told that we had to DoorDash or UberEats to get soda. Just a thought :) Overall though our stay was lovely and would consider staying again!

Everything was excellent except 2 things: there was no garbage bin in the bathroom and not enough outlets in the room, and the outlets did not have USB ports

It's clear that this property was once really top of the line. However, our room was not very clean when we checked in, and there were some maintenance issues. There were lots of stains and smudges and rips and dust in the room. The amenities were very nice; tons of little perks and comforts, like coffee in the room and a workout facility and pool. The night staff was not very friendly; we checked in late, and the guy at the front desk had a big bottle of Kratom sitting there, and he was like "hold on". He gave us no information about anything when we checked in, he just said "your room is that way" and pointed toward the elevators. I think it would be nice if hotel staff would share information about parking with guests before they arrive. The garage across the skyway from the hotel is $75 a day. Mostly a nice stay, but just needs some attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and a better night staff.
