It would have been excellent if they hadn't allowed pets. A dog in the room next door whined for 3 hours while I was trying to rest. The hotel finally was able to find the dog owners and stop the noise, but what about just not allowing dogs. I'm a dog owner, but I don't want to sleep in a hotel room where other people's dogs have stayed.

I love this place. Such a great 1950's Palm Desert vibe with spotless upgrades. This was my second stay at the Ho, and the holiday spirit was beautiful. Very bustling lobby and bar with a nice roaring fire. One little nit is the service at the bar. Noticed this during both stays. It seems to take the bartenders 5+ minutes to even say hello. They seem busy so perhaps the restaurant floor is flooding the bar with orders, but I think a key hospitality point is being missed.
